“Dear Anka and Gabriel,
No words, deeds or gifts could ever make up for the tender care given to Pat.
We truly appreciate the ways you tried to make PAt as comfortable as possible during her last two and a half months and how you opened your home to our family to make us feel welcome throughout this difficult time.
You provided a very loving atmosphere where Pat could be ressures when she was uneasy or comforted when she was calming TV shows helped her. With your patience Pat was able to accept and adjust to her living situation. You encouraged her to share her stories and you shared yours. We appreciate your time in hearing of and trying to understand Pat’s concerns. We also valued your communication about how Pat’s day was going
As a staff, you know the things that are important for the resident. Routine and predictability of mealtime helped Pat feel secure. You swerve delicious and healthy home cooked meals and adjusted for PAt’s consumption. We always appreciated the food and drinks provided to our family/friends.
You offer a pleasant and ordered home where cleanliness is important to everyone. Pat was always clean - hair, clothes and bedding. She was cared for in excellent ways and turned so that she would not have skin difficulties. We never had to worry about her care when she was there.
You went the extra mile by helping with the furniture moving. Thank you, men!

“Dear Anca and Gabe,
What I write in this note can in no way truly express my feelings and ths to you for sharing your love and your care for Rosie during the past years. You took care of her physical needs but more importantly you made her a part of your family and gave your love for her. By taking on the job of caring for Rosie in your home you allowed us to enjoy her as a mother and mother-in-law rather than a person needing more care than we could provide in our home. You are a blessing to both Rosie and to us.
We especially enjoyed Rosie’s birthday party and the Christmas celebrations. It was wonderful to experience the love and joy in your home not only for special days but all the other days of the year. You welcomed not only us but other relatives and friends who came to your house to visit Rosie.
We admire you for taking on such an obligation to care for five other people. Rosie was content and happy as she approached the final days of her life. Sometime I would jokingly ask her if she wanted to go back to live in Oklahoma or Texas but she would quickly reply no and that she wanted to stay here. However she did want a simple funeral and burial next to her husband in Texas.
You are much more than caregivers. You are very special people who have blessed our lives.
